About

Tanya Nadin is a Partner of BDN and brings with her over 15 years of legal experience. Tanya works in a variety of areas of the law however her specialty is in family law. Tanya completed a Masters of Applied Law (Family Law) in 2016.

Tanya has extensive knowledge in all areas of family law and can provide you with prompt advice appropriate to your personal needs. Such as:

  • Property and financial settlements
  • Divorce and separation
  • Parenting and custody disputes
  • Spousal maintenance; and
  • De facto relationship matters

Tanya’s job passions include being able to help clients resolve their legal disputes as quickly and as amicably as possible without wasting client’s time and money by commencing Court proceedings.

Tanya is trained in Collaborative law which is the legal process enabling separating couples to work together with their lawyers to achieve a settlement that best meets the needs of both parties’, and their children, without the underlying threat of litigation. Tanya considers herself a problem solver and is focused on supporting her clients through their separation and divorce without the need for them to go to Court. Often two lawyers and two clients who are able to work together have a far better outcome of success than those working against each other.

Should the need for Court proceedings arise, Tanya is well practiced in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia for both children’s and property matters and will assist you every step of the way.

Often family law matters are a very stressful and emotional time in a client’s life. Tanya feels a sense of satisfaction when she can work with a client and assist them in bringing a settlement to a final resolution on terms that everyone can live with. Tanya says:

“Sadly within Australia, as more and more couples are separating, family law matters are more common. I enjoy working in the area of family law because I think I can make a positive contribution and help people work through the legal issues involved when a relationship breaks down and move on with their lives.”

Other areas of Law Tanya can assist with include:

  • Wills and Powers of Attorney
  • Estates
  • Property Law
  • NSW & ACT Conveyancing
  • Criminal Law
  • Traffic offences and Drink Driving

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children.

Dear valued clients

No doubt you are aware of the many challenges COVID-19 has presented for us all.  Here at BDN we are continuing to provide legal services for all of our clients.

But we are working differently; many of our staff are now working remotely from home.

We will now communicate with you over the phone, via email or using video link as much as we can.

If we do need to meet with you, for example to sign a will or a contract, we will only meet with you by prior arrangement and when this is essential.  We will ask you to observe our strict hygiene practices.

We are working very hard to ensure that your needs are met and that our staff are safe.

From time to time, there may be a slight delay in responding to you.  Please be patient and know that we are still here for you.
